turbonegro, will johnson, the boredoms, heartless bastards, my morning jacket

Egg City Radio has the Boredoms with 77 drummers 7-7-07 and a few collections of rare Devo.

Daytrotter has a session from Heartless Bastards.

Captains Dead has Will Johnson August 2008.

Big O has Turbonegro 6-16-05.

Largehearted Boy finds DJ BC's Ziggy Stardust remixed and My Morning Jacket 2-4-09.

The Propellers "2" has been released. The Propellers took to recording in the humid New England summer of 2008, sculpting their sophomore art rock record. The album covers a variety of themes: a lullaby for a petulant child, revenge murder on a underground train, friendship, love, loss, and a celebration of life's foibles. Recorded in a Rhode Island basement by the bassist, and mixed by the drummer, "2" is truly a DIY effort. Total budget: $0.00. Total recording cost: $0:00. This release is limited to 150 silkscreened copies, while the label is limited to only 25 copies. You can download the track Lifted and purchase a copy over at the label webpage.

Jonny Jones Benefit Tonight in Newport

On Friday February 6 at Jimmy's Saloon in Newport, The "Jonny Jones Jam", a musical fundraiser for Jonny Jones will be held. You probably know Jonny from his many musical projects here in the Ocean State over the years - Mother Jefferson, Backwash, 2 Guys and Another Guy and others. He has some medical bills to pay off and a ton of his friends have gotten together to help him out. Raffles, food and a lot of bands. The suggested donation is anywhere from $10-20 bucks and the music starts at 7pm. Appearing will be:

The Diepods

The Ravers

Primitive Ritual

The Magnificent 7

2 Guys & Another Guy

Dopey Lopes

The Skinny Millionaires

von Doom

Frankie the Drill

Positive Outlook

Suicide Bill & the Liquors

Eric Fontana

in case you are new here....we post irregularly to our favorite links to rare and live music available for download. we do not link to lossless files, as we are half deaf ourselves. we also don't host any files, as we do not comprehend the technology. we simply stumble across this stuff and share the links. please support all the websites and bands that do all the real work getting this music into your ears. all the sites listed below have more great music and content. most of these links will go dead at some point so grab the music while you can.

We are based out of Providence, Rhode Island. We offer no apologies, nor should you hold that against us. More info here on 75orLess at any of these web pages:

It's a reasonable question. The idea was born during our daily music chats, while discussing reviews we'd read. There was only one thing we consistently agreed on: they were too long. It seemed the point of how the music sounded and whether or not it was good was lost in an overlong mess of lyric quotes, personal accounts and a seemingly desperate attempt to fulfill a word count. Eventually someone said, "It's gotten to the point where if you can't say it in 75 words or less, you should shut the eff up". Within a week, 75orless.com was born. The best part about our limit is its reversal of typical music reviews. We limit the amount of words we use, and are not required to reach a number.

Welcoming electronic, hip-hop, indie, folk, punk, disco, pop, cock rock, math rock, brit pop, nu gaze, blues, garage, country, new new wave, rockabilly, idm, crust, techno, grindcore and all other music submissions. Where words with 2 letters or fewer do not count.
